The biggest mistake that a lot of online network marketers make is that they fail to take their relationships that they start online offline. This is crucial to your success. However, sometimes people don’t know how to do it successfully. Here are some ideas to make it work.

1. Develop a strong online local network. Then invite anyone who is local to you to meet one on one or to attend a class, party or other event.

2. Use skype to connect via video calling and “face to face” with people. This is underused and a great tool.

3. Ask to talk on the phone with people as soon as you feel comfortable. Not everyone will agree right away but you need to do it at some point.

4. Schedule free consultations that require you to connect via phone or in person.

5. Offer bonuses for people who agree to meet you offline.

6. Host an offline event and invite everyone you know from online to attend.

7. When someone you know online is visiting in your area, invite them to meet in person. When you are traveling seek out friends from the internet who live in the area and ask to meet.

How to Create a Life Vision

Do you have a vision for your life? You might be wondering why I am writing a post like this on a blog about online network marketing, well the reality is that if you do not have a life vision then nothing else will matter in your life or with your vision. What you want to have happen in your network marketing business will only happen you are clear about exactly what you want.

While I have always been the kind of person to set goals and a lot of them, I never had a formal life vision created until this last June when I purchased a program from an amazing lady named Ann Web. She sells a home study program that walks you through the complete process of creating a life vision. This program has literally changed my life the past few months. I am now much clearer about what I want to accomplish and where I am headed with my life in all areas and with my business.

That said, here are the steps you want to follow in order to create a life vision.

1. Find a quiet place where you can think and focus only on your life vision.

2. Get several sheets of paper and a pen or pencil.

3. Write down in big letters Personal, Relationships, Spiritual, and Business at the top of each of one sheet of paper.

4. Write for as long as it takes whatever comes to mind for each category. Make sure that you write only in the present using the words I am. Avoid negative or weak words, and focus only on what you plan to achieve within the next six months. You will rewrite your life vision every six months and make some changes.

5. Record your voice reading out loud what you have written with baroque music in the background.

How to Start an Online Radio Show

Starting an online radio show can be a great way to generate more leads online and to reach a different niche audience. However, it can be more complicated than it might seem. Here are the steps you need to take in order to start a successful online radio show.

1. Choose a platform. While there are literally thousands of options online, I highly recommend Blog Talk Radio. It is from my experience the most well known and it has all the features you need in one easy to use place.

2. Choose an audience. You want to target your online show to a specific audience. The more specific the better.

3. Choose topics. Before you begin your online radio show, you want to have already selected at least 20 topics for your first episodes.

4. Find Guests. While you can certainly host your online radio show by yourself, ideally you will want to have guests on the show for at least 1 in 3 shows. This boosts your credibility and can make it easier to promote.

5. Set your schedule. Determine when your show will air live. Ideally you want to do it at the same time each week for consistency.

6. Promote your show. You will need to do a lot of promotion. In fact, more than you might think. Some ideas include creating an event for your show on facebook and other sites. Asking your guests when they are on the show to promote, uploading recordings to your blog and to your guests blogs, sharing tidbits on facebook and twitter, using video to promote etc.

How to Increase Your Social Media ROI as a Network Marketer

Too many network marketers waste time on social media and do not develop real relationships. As a result they do not build their businesses with social media and social media becomes just an excuse to not work their businesses. Learn how to change this today and how to make social media really work for your network marketing business.

1. Have a clear social media plan. Too many network marketers just jump into social media and go crazy trying to do a lot of things at once without a clear social media plan.

2. Have 2-3 specific target markets. This is another mistake that many network marketers make. They try to be all things to all people and this simply does not work and especially online. I explain this in further detail in the first video you get when you subscribe in the box on the right hand side of this page.

3. List Build- Your list as a social media marketer and network marketer is gold. When I say this I mean list build with email and even with text marketing. You cannot effectively earn a ROI with social media by keeping all of your contacts and connections only inside social media.

4. Use postal mail- Gee what a concept, but really it works great.

5. Use the phone- Everyone has one, so make some calls and really connect with people via the phone.

6. Use chat.- This is from my experience the best way to build relationships and especially on facebook. Engage in lively and interesting conversation and your business will naturally come up.

7. Use skpe- This is great for video calls to connect with people and to see them “eye to eye.”

8. Hold Events- This is crucial to gain momentum. You can do teleseminars, webinars, group chats and more.

9. Meet People Offline-This is also very important. When you are in an area where some of your friends live try to meet them in person. Also connect with local people offline.

10. Build real relationships- This is a must as well and if you do the other things on this list, then this will naturally happen.

How to Do SEO With Your Blog

1. Do Keyword Research.

This is crucial to your SEO and blogging success. You can use one of a variety of paid tools or use the Google Adsense Keyword tool for free. You can find it by going to Google and searching for it. You want to create a list of at least 50 keywords and keyword phrases you can use. How to Create a Social Media Plan for Twitter

Do you have a social media plan for twitter? If not, you need to create one now if you want twitter to work for you.

1. Have clear goals for twitter. Who do you want to connect with on twitter?

2. Follow targeted people. Know exactly who your target market is and follow those people.

3. Create a twitter profile that attracts targeted followers.

4. Use twitter consistently for 20-30 minutes per day.

5. Connect with people you met on twitter with facebook, linkedin, on the phone, via skype, in person and any other way you can. You want to take the relationship away from twitter and to a more stable and more long term platform.

6. Share targeted content. Have a plan for what you will share on twitter.

7. Use tools like ping.fm, hootsuite, or market me suite to plan your tweets and save time.

8. Prepare questions to ask your followers to get responses and to engage in conversation.

Hosting Online Events for Your Network Marketing Business

Hosting online events can be great for your network marketing business. However, you need to plan well and execute well in order for your online events to be a success.

Here are some tips I have followed that have helped me to have a large number of successful online events.

1. Have clear goals and a purpose. Why are you hosting your online event? What do you want to happen? Do you plan to generate leads, sell something, or do a combination?

2. Use a mixture of online events. Avoid always doing webinars, or one type of online event.

3. Find ways to host offline events online. For example I am with a network marketing company that sells essential oils and I do offline classes all the time. Next week I am going to be hosting two online essential oils classes using a webinar/chat room. You can also use a site like ustream.tv to livecast an offline event over the internet.

4. Host both free and paid online events. You want to give people the chance to learn from you and to connect with you for free but you also want to make money.

5. Host teleseminars. While these do not use the internet directly, the internet is one of the best places to advertise and promote them.

6. Do webinars. These can be done for free with tools such as anymeeting. These are great for interacting directly with people and for doing presentations of visual information.

7. Hold chats. You can use a free or paid chat room and have a topic of conversation or you can do a tweet chat over twitter.

8. Create a group on skype and use video calling to have a group call.

9. Promote aggressively. You will need to start at least 3 weeks in advance and really work at getting the word out.

10. Plan early. This is crucial to your success with online events.

11. Target your events to a specific group of people. Have a niche for your event and invite these people.

12. Use video to promote and share your event.

How to Build a Targeted Following with Linkedin

Building a targeted following on linkedin is similar to building one on facebook, twitter and other social sites however, there are some unique things you can do with linkedin to build a targeted following and connections.

Here is what you need to do to make this a reality:

1. Join and actively participate in groups that are related to your target market. This gets you a lot of visibility and can also drive traffic to your blog, videos and other content in addition to getting contact requests from people in your target market.

2. Find questions that people are asking in the answers section and answer them. You can also ask targeted questions and this will get attention from people in your target market.

3. Do a people search for people in your target market. You will only be able to add the person if you either have an email address for them, or you share a group with him or her or you are an alumni of the same college or university. Linkedin is much stricter about requiring you to actually know or have a real connection with someone before you can add the person as a connection.

4. Add everyone that you know who is on linkedin as a connection. You can use the email feature to automatically add everyone with whom you have previously communicated via email to get started.

5. Connect with people in your target market first on twitter or facebook to get to know them and then see if they are also on linkedin.

6. Ask people with whom you have a connection, who do they know who is in your target market who is also on linkedin?

Goal Setting Tips for Your Network Marketing Business

Do you have goals for your network marketing business? And I don’t mean goals that are wishes or that lack clarity and focus, but clear specific and focused goals? Are those goals written down? Do you have goals for your online and social media portions of your network marketing business?

If you are lacking in any of the above areas, then you need to have a reality check and to re-examine how serious you are about building your network marketing business and get busy getting serious about goal setting.

Here are some tips to make it happen.

1. Write down your goals. I know you’ve been told that before, but really. Goals that are not written down are just wishes.

2. Figure out what realistic yet achievable goals are for your business. The best way is to figure out how long it takes the average distributor to reach the level you want to be at and then adjust it according to your available time, and other life circumstances. For example, I have the goal to reach the level of Silver by next year’s convention. The average Silver in my company takes two years to get there. While I’ve only been with my company three months and I have less than one more year until the next convention and I work full-time, I have a lot of network marketing experience and a lot of contacts combined with a lot of passion and so I honestly believe that I can be a Silver by next year’s convention. So you need to figure out what you think you can achieve in your network marketing business.

3. Visualize your goals. Use video, pictures and other visual aids to remind yourself and to program your mind to believe that you can achieve. Believe it and it will happen.

4. Create a vision for your life in all areas and include your network marketing business as a part of it. Include specific details about your life vision. Write it down and then record it and listen to it every day. If you need help with this, I highly recommend Ann Web’s Life Vision program. I used it to create my life vision and it has literally been life changing.

5. Set goals for the next month, the next three months, the next six months and the next year.

6. Be willing to change them if and when you need to.
