Network Marketing and Shark Tank

Kozzi-image-of-a-shark-883 X 588

Have you seen the TV show Shark Tank? If not, I highly recommend that you start watching it. You can find past episodes online either via Youtube, Hulu, or on the website for your local ABC channel. There is also a similar show that airs in the UK and Canada called Dragons’ Den. While no serious network marketer should spend a lot of time watching TV this is one must watch show in my opinion and many of the top earning network marketers watch it. Here are some things you can learn about how to be more successful in network marketing by watching Shark Tank.

1. Not everyone will like what you are selling. Yes I know it’s hard to hear but that is the truth. There have been several products pitched on Shark Tank that did not get investments yet they still succeeded anyway and in some cases they had massive success later on.

2. You had better know your conversion numbers and have a tracking system if you want to have long term success. None of the sharks will ever invest in a company or person who doesn’t know their numbers and you should know your numbers.

3. Trying to take your business in too many directions at once is a terrible idea. I’ve seen many entrepreneurs do this and talk about it on Shark Tank and they get sent packing. Have one or two main focuses and stick with them.

4. People buy you before they buy your company and or products. I’ve seen quite a few people walk into the shark tank with a company or product that had some problems but the person or people still got their investments because one or more of the sharks liked the person.

5. Be excited and passionate. Entrepreneurs who have passion and excitement when they walk into the shark tank always perform better than those who do not.

How to Choose an Online Network Marketing Niche

Choosing an online network marketing niche is the most important thing you can do in order to be successful with online network marketing.
Too many people when they start marketing their network marketing business online either don’t have a niche, or they choose one that is too broad.

That said, how exactly do you choose an online network marketing niche?

1. Make a list of all the things that you are interested in. Include your hobbies, fields of study, previous and current employment and anything else you can think of.

2. Make a list of all the specific people who already buy your products or use your services.

3. Make a list of all the people who would be the most likely to be interested in your business.

4. Be as specific and as narrow as possible. For example, moms is too broad but moms of twins is doable and more focused.

5. Do some research. What niches are others in your company already targeting? What about other network marketers? Can you find a way to target a similar niche or the same way but with your own unique and different twist?

Pick one and get started. Focus on the same one until you are successful. Then you can move on to 2-3 additional niches.

Infographics and Online Network Marketing

Have you considered using infographics to promote your network marketing business online? If not, you really should. They have become very popular within the last year or so and they can help you market more effectively on twitter, facebook and pinterest and they can add valuable content to your blog as well as make you more visible on Google via Google Images. Here are a few examples of infographics that I have used for my network marketing business:

Do you get the idea? For awhile I thought that in order to use infographics they had to be fancy, but they really don’t. In fact, the simpler the better. You can also find and share infographics that others have created that are appropriate for your target audience. I get the best success with these on facebook but pinterest is working out pretty well for me too.

Should You Use Google Plus For Your Network Marketing Business?

Do you use Google Plus for your network marketing business? Should you? This is not a straight forward question since it really depends on what your goals are as well as what you want to accomplish with your network marketing business. That said, here are a few guidelines to follow to help you decide whether or not using Google Plus for your network marketing business is a good idea.

1. What is your product line? If you are in a technology company then using Google Plus is a must. Google Plus has a large technology related audience.

2. Are you working on building a local team or audience? This will be nearly everyone although some people may not be.

3. Do you already have a presence on facebook and linkedin?

4. Are you already blogging?

If the answer to both of numbers 4 and 5 is yes, then you are ready to begin using Google Plus.

That said, Google Plus, unlike facebook and twitter, does not need to be used every day and most of you shouldn’t use it everyday. Instead you simply need to do a few key things.

1. Set up your Google Plus Profile and complete it thoroughly with your picture, tagline, website, and a few additional pictures and videos. I also recommend including a contact phone number, email address and keywords. If you have a physical location for your business then include that too.

2. Set up a Google Plus business page for your business.

Then update your Google Plus for business page at 1-2 times per week.

3. Consider using Google Plus Hangouts for connecting with a smaller group of people for team training, classes, presentations etc.

That is it. Google Plus does not need to be used daily, but because it is Google, I do recommend at least having a presence there.

Why Ann Sieg’s Attraction Marketing Manifesto is Required Reading for Online Network Marketing

Ann Sieg has done very well with online network marketing and she continues to do well. Further more her free e-book Attraction Marketers Manifesto contains what is in my opinion invaluable information on how to really make attraction marketing work for you online. Mike Dillard started the attraction marketing concept with magnetic sponsoring but Ann Sieg takes it to the next level. No, this e-book won’t solve all your problems and of course it’s not a magic pill but I do recommend that anyone who is serious about online network marketing needs to read it.
